How does it perform on iOS 11.2.X? I'm more trying to avoid bugs cause I know from the iPhone that iOS 11 wasn't too good until probably 11.2.

The iPad is currently on iOS 10.3.3, but with the recent security vulnerabilities discovered (Spectre and Meltdown), its sort of pushing me to update.

How have your experiences been?

Thanks!

iOS 11 is so much better on the iPad Pro you really should update. No problems that I have come across with the latest 11.2.2

No issues for me except a hiccup on 11.2.5 beta 2. Massively slowed down my performance, I had to reset. All is well now though. iOS 11 has been great on my 10.5 since the first beta.

I’m running 11.2.2 on my 10.5”. No issues thus far.

I'm on 11.2.2 and have experienced no issues whatsoever on my 10.5" Pro. When I bought my Pro, it had 10.3.3 installed on it, but I immediately updated it to iOS 11 (mainly because my Mini 4 it replaced was on iOS 11).

Updated an hour ago and then gave it some time to settle down. Seems to be as quick, if not better in some places over 10.3.3. Also, quite liking the flick keyboard feature. The Multi-tasking changes will take a small amount of time to get used to but it’s pretty solid so far.

Thanks to those for replying with their feedback/experiences!

I'm in the same boat as you. I really have no reason to update from 10.3.3. Performance is smooth. Are you liking 11? What features are you using that are new? Did it remain responsive? I want to update, but I'm not sure if its even worth it.

Performance is most definitely smooth, probably on par with 10.3.3.

The new features I’m using that I like are:

- The flick keys on the keyboard (note: the layout of the keyboard has changed a bit).

- Apple Pencil improvements such as tap with the pencil on lock screen and it brings up notes.

- Screen recording in now built in to iOS 11 and so can be very useful.

- Control Centre is now customisable and has been moved to the app switcher and includes a flashlight button now which was long overdue for us iPad Pro users.

- Otherwise, multi-tasking is different and I’m still not used to it. It used to be you’d swipe over from the right of the screen and pick an app from the scrolling list, but now you have to drag an app from the dock to initiate split screen, and so you don’t know which ones support split screen, etc. Either way, I think all apps can run in a sort of window now, and you can use 3 apps at once - 2 split screen, 1 in slide over/window along with PiP.

- Oh, and finally we get rid of those missing emoji boxes due to us now having the new ones! :)

I think in general it’s worth the update. It expands the iPad Pro functionality and I can’t see a downside other than it may take time to get adjusted to some of the ways things work now. Battery life is also about on par with 10.3.3.

Hope this helps!
