iPad Pro 10.5 Otterbox Defender

Hi,

How thick is the iPad (6.1mm without case) with the Otterbox defender case installed?
How thick is the iPad with the top lid/cover removed?

We love Otterbox in our home for multiple iphones & ipads. This case for the iPad Pro, however is a bit of a disappointment. Have to remove top cover to plug in charger, volume buttons are partially blocked, just enough to be annoying, and there is some slippage when the top cover is attached on the back, it slides a bit. All things prior Otterbox cases never did.

About 1 1/8" with lid on, 5/8" with lid off (measured mine). Big? Yes, but pretty bombproof if you need that level of protection.
