Any regrets who splurged on high-end Pro’s?... would you buy a 2TB version?

Absolutely no regrets here. The 6GB of ram, and 1TB of storage was exactly what I wanted, so I got it!

In 2021 or whenever released, if there is a 2TB model available I’ll buy one of those too, and sell my current model in order to upgrade. I am by no means rich, and I certainly cannot just throw away money on the highest tier models. But, they do make the most sense to me. Just because they work for me, doesn’t mean it would make sense to someone else though.

Good luck!

I migrated from a 10.5” 512GB to a 11” 1TB. The 512GB had plenty of storage but my 3 year old enjoys her dinosaurs and ABC games so she inherited the iPad. Also the unit developed two distinct white spots which Apple acknowledges but refuses to address. This gave me an excuse to get the latest version.

1TB is ALOT of storage but most of mine is media and games. I couldn’t imagine what the cost of a 2TB would be as mine is $1,699.00 + TAX = $1,826.42. It’s an investment but hopefully a good one for several years.

I have the 12.9 1TB and definitely no regrets. I use the space for photos, apps and games, podcasts and TV shows. It’s fantastic to have all of that storage space.
Yes, I’d get a 2TB iPad. Then I’d probably load in home videos of our theme park trips and do some video editing. I don’t see it happening for a couple of years though. It would be good to see the cost come down though since I think it would be quite expensive right now.

Lol, no guarantee I'll keep mine for several years so decided against spending the $1.5-2K. It's purely a want and I'm sure by next Apple keynote, I'll want something else. Trade-in values are pretty crap on top configs and I don't have the patience to sell privately.

I just picked up a 1TB 12.9 on Swappa and I'm glad I did. Going to use the storage primarilyy for movies and TV shows during travel.

On a recent trip, in one direction the seat backs had no screens, and on the return the system was down for the entire plane.

I used to always chase the highest end iPad, but with Face ID on the latest ones, I’m sitting out this round and I’ll wait a bit for the price deltas to come down a bit before I go into Terabyte class devices.

I’m quite pleased with my 512GB iPad Pro 12.9” second gen with LTE. The AppleCare is expiring soon, but this machine feels even better than the day I bought it. I see myself using it for quite a while longer.
