Can the new USB-C iPad's be charged with the USB-C Macbook Pro's charging brick/cable?

Im pretty sure it can. The iPad will only take what it needs. Ill be charging with my MBP charger.

Without a doubt. I am glad they finally jumped on USB-C. Sure Apple’s phones will go the same soon.
