Does the iPad Pro 11 (WiFi only) speak NFC? I wonder if I could use the new Yubikey 5 with it.

I don't recall the Ipad having a NFC module. Considering that the majority of the body is made of aluminum - i'm going to assume no.

They thought about it but decided no one would pay the $200 Apple upcharge.

No, the iPad doesn't have NFC. That's why it can only use Apple Pay for online or in-app purchases and has no wallet app.

Which is why even though they do support Apple Pay, iPads can't be used to pay in stores by tapping like the iPhones and Apple Watch can.

Yes. You should use it for Apple Pay on streets.
