Hi,

I have an M1 iPad Pro 12.9" 2021 and a desktop PC. When I connected the two using a Thunderbolt 4 cable or an Apple USB-C cable, my PC could recognize the iPad Pro and I could use iTunes. However, when I connected the two devices via a Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub, my PC cannot recognize my iPad Pro. Anybody knows what is wrong and how to fix this? I tried using the iPad or the PC as the source computer (plugging the connection cable to the port on the side) already.

Also, when I connected the iPad to my PC using any of the above two mentioned cables, iTunes immediately recognized the iPad. I can also double clicked on my PC and the 'Apple iPad' icon showed up. Double clicking on it shows 'Internal Storage'. How come double clicking again only shows the DCIM folder which contains only folders named 202112_ and 202201_ ? Why other folders do not show up?

Most likely not enough power output of the Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub. I have an M1 Mac mini and a Satechi hub/stand. My 12.9 IPP is not recognized when plugged into the Satechi hub, but works perfectly fine when connected directly to the Mac.

Apple software seems to be pretty much junk when it comes to any folder support or backing up files

I also noticed i can only see a single folder when i plug either of my ipad pro's into my PC :(
