I've been using my new iPad for a week now and I'm very impressed with quality of the LCD screen in it. Probably one of the best I've ever seen. Uniformity of both brightness and colour are excellent. I feel like I won the lottery. The display lottery, that is. I've been through that several times with past models (iPad 3 being the worst), but this one is a keeper.

I agree. I'm a professional Cookie Monster.
Regard the screen, I have had my 12.9 for a year now and my wife just bought me a screen protector. I would highly recommend because it repels prints exceedingly well. The one she bought was a tempered glass that Is available through Amazon.

Very nice! I just got my 10.5" the other day and have been very impressed with the screen quality too. My only complaint is that a lot of apps do not yet seem optimized for the new size. But it's definitely the nicest display I've used to date. I too feel like I won the lottery as there are no issues with the iPad as far as I can tell (and that's despite what one reads on these forums sometimes).

Beautiful screen for sure, but it's like carrying around a cookie sheet! :)

Yep, I have to use a slightly larger laptop bag then smaller one i have for 9.7" ipad. But it's worthwhile on the go. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J2PQ38M/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_12?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A5YFRSSLVCWHI is for smaller. https://www.amazon.com/STM-Trust-La...ie=UTF8&qid=1498445259&sr=1-5&keywords=stm+13 for the 12.9 & macbook.

One day i'll find a better solution but like having accessories with me.

I have to disagree with this, its this or a 13 inch MacBook Pro, I much prefer the iPad.

Not the same. Laptops are meant to be put down on a desk or on your lap during use.

For tablets, while you could use them on desks, they are also supposed to be held with your hands during used. This is when the big iPP gets awkward, hence the cookie sheet.

The line is increasingly blurring between these 2 devices.
