Thinking of getting an ipad pro 12 inch, selling my Retna and going for a MBA for basic use (if needed), since i know i can live 100% on the iPad only, and just have iPhone SE as well..

Is this a good idea, or should my primary usage be a mac ? I was thinking abut just going with a 5.5-inch iPhone as well but i figure screen may be too small for reading and other tsuff, so that's why i thought gong for iPad Pro 12'

I'm fine reading on the iPhone 7 (non-plus) screen, so that's probably down to preference.

A lot of us still use Macs for things like video and audio editing, artistic stuff, developing web sites and apps, and possibly because we just still like the lovely desktop paradigm.

But if you can get through your entire list of anything you'd ever use your devices for and don't see a Mac as necessary for any of them, then sure, that sounds fine now that we're well into the era of iOS devices being fully independent of companion Macs.

Your primary usage should be whatever suits you best - if an iPad Pro works for you as your main device, then don't let anyone tell you it's a bad idea :)
