Would there be a substantial price decrease for 2018 pro(>$100) after the new model is introduced or max ~$100 reduction? What do you think? I tried to check previous years’ data, but couldn’t find something useful.

Thank you!

You can often find the 2018 models with that sort of discount now.

They might discontinue them and offer them in the refurbished store. They did the same thing with the 10.5 Pro. I think... lol

There are already pretty decent discounts on the refurb store. If Apple releases new models at same MSRP as 2018 Pros, I expect refurb pricing to shift down another $80-100.

Apple is pretty good about controlling inventory, so I would imagine you would see a discontinuation of the model before too much more of a discount. Perhaps a B & H or Adorama might be the best bet for further discounts after the new model is released. I nabbed an 11" 256GB on Amazon for $799 with a $30 discount with Amex.

If you're in the States, Best Buy and Microcenter have almost continual sales on the 2018 Pros. Microcenter has the 256gb WiFi 11" and 12" at very good markdowns right now.

Amazon currently has the 2018 Pro 12.9 for $200 off the 64gb-512gb models and $400 off 1tb model.

I ask again, WHY CAN'T CANADA HAVE THESE SALES?!? :(

Oh yeah, Amazon Canada doesn't even sell iPads at all. I dunno why. Without this competition, Best Buy Canada doesn't try very hard at discounting the Pros.

If it's any consolation, 11" discounts aren't as attractive and the $400 off on 1TB is really only $200 when you factor in the recent MSRP drop.

Those have been on sale for awhile now. I’m hoping they go further on sale during the holidays so I can upgrade my kids iPads.
Military gets the best discounts so if you have family/friends that are either active or retired, might wanna ask them to buy for you. :D

My teenager's chromebook died. I'm seriously considering getting her an ipad 6 with a keyboard especially with the ipados update.

A teenager should get a full sized keyboard. That would mean a 10.2” iPad or 10.5” Pro (refurbished) or 10.5” Air (education pricing with free Beats headphones), with the Apple Smart Keyboard.

You go ahead get your teenager whatever you want lol.

I have no problem getting my child a MacBook if needed but with her current workload, she barely needs an iPad so an ipad 6 will be fine.

Probably for the same reason why we dont get Canada sales from Canadian companies.
