Hi,

I have an iPad Pro 2018 LTE.. (No bending!!) but it seems like it has some light scratches from the bezels, and a bit into the screen area (haven't noticed them before), and only had it for a couple of weeks. :(

could this be a factory mistake, or is this glass soft as butter?

I have the same, been in the keyboard case since day one.
I gussed there may have been some dirt or grit on the spacebar key and when it snapped shut it just scratched it.

No, you just scratched it, that's all ;)

Can’t be worse. Ive had all 3 12.9 LTE flagship versions, only in the Logitech keyboard cases (save this one since there’s no Logitech keyboard case yet) and none of them have been scratched. I use a pencil on the screen daily and put it in a conventional no fancy case when not in use.

heheh.. if that's the case, the glass quality is worse than the 10.5

Yeah, like i Have had several cars when I was old enough to drive, never had any problems...ever
last month somebody crashed into me, and the car looked terrible, I think the car war made from putty.
I blame Ford for making soft, non crash resistant cars :)

Yeah well, they are known for switching to less resistant glass in some of their products

Instead of insinuating and complaining, you could have put all that energy into the old fashion YouTube search o_O

i dont give rat about the youtubers, who are trying to create more views for themselves, by inventing new "gates" from violating products with force.. this was simply a research post, to see if others have experienced the same from normal use - or have scratches from the factory, since i haven't had any problems with apple's products until now :)

There is always first time anxiety when you scratch or drop your device, after that you don't care as much :)
The first scratch is always "How did that get there"

As a data point: had my 12.9 iPP since November and screen does not exhibit any of the signs you outlined above.

Day one iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen, lives in a 20 quid cover from amazon, used daily, no scratches. 10.5 pro scratched after a month. Just need to be unlucky with a tiny piece of grit.
