Hello, I am looking at selling my iPad Pro 32gb, and upgrading to the 128gb. I was wondering how much the plan is monthly on the 4g for the iPad pro? I have searched but have had no luck (maybe looking in the wrong spots).

If you are in the UK, O2 has probably got the best balance between upfront cost and tariffs. But even then I think their best is £99 upfront and 52ish a month.

The other networks are looking for in excess of £300 upfront with similarly massive monthly costs.

I think it's crazy pricing for the iPad Pro. I just bought one outright (WiFi) and use my iPhone as a mobile hotspot if I need it because I've got a massive data allowance on it.

Well I am on my parents cell phone plan so was just gonna do it on my own since we don't have hat much data, which I s why I can't afford to hotspot it. But I am in the US and have never had a 4g wifi before so never had to look up the cross lol!

Does sound pretty expensive though.

Where are you going to be that you think you need the 4g? What do you plan on doing? Stream videos, check emails, surf the web, play games?

There are many different options, but you want some idea of how you will use it, in order to choose the right plan. There are pay as you go options, and pay every month options.

I will just be using it for surfing the web/checking emails and stuff. It will be when I am on the road for little trips and stuff, and weekends when I am away and don't have wifi capability.
[doublepost=1458839194][/doublepost]Do they still have it where I can purchase it straight on the iPad whichever month i wanna do it? I know my dad had an older iPad and that was a choice for it to do.

I would recommend seeing if t-mobile still offer their free 200mb a month plan for tablets, then you can purchase more if you need it. Check coverage in the areas you usually go.

Most carriers offer pay as you go options. Which is like with your dad's older iPad.

Thank you, I appreciate it!
Now I am confused if I purchase through apple will I be able to use any mobile carrier or do I have to purchase through the mobile carrier?

I continue to use the t-mobile 200MB but would buy this if it is truly going to be available.

That looks like a great deal. Can I purchase my iPad Pro anywhere and than go in and get a plan through them? Or do I have to purchase it from them?

usually it's all done with the onboard apple sim, so we'll see when they show up.. tmobile is VERY agressive with trying to get more devices on their network for "subscriber numbers" that was the whole motivation behind the free 200MB.. so maybe they are really trying to drive it home with just a TAD of revenue.. could be 10$ for the 180 day 5GB plan or it could be 10$ a month for 5GB over 180 days, either way I'm in if it is truly still available.

I would be too!

How does the free 200 MB work? Is there a signup fee? Monthly access charge? You just walk in to a store and say you want the 200MB and they give it to you?

I bought that plan in January. It's $10 for 5gb for 150 days.

It's totally free. You just sign up for it from your iPad. You need to give an email address, but that's it.

Wow, that's pretty damn cool. Do you know if it prioritizes that data allotment first? I'd like to get something like the $10 plan you mentioned but if it pulls from that before the free 200mb it wouldn't be nearly as worthwhile.

If UK, I buy EE 6gb 90 day sims off Amazon for £15. Nice and simple, 6gb is easily enough for general usage, and if I do any lengthy streaming I tether to my phone with my 10gb/month plan.

Cellular isn't for everyone, but for pick up and use, always on connectivity on the go, it beats tethering. Only really applicable if you're away from wifi extensively of course, which I am.

As far as I can tell, it uses the free 200mb first.

I appreciate the comments everyone.
In the midst of attempting to sell my 32GB iPad from for 128GB+4G right now lol!

So just so I'm certain, and sorry to be dense... You're saying one can buy an iPad that uses the Apple Sim, and the 200 MB for free plan is available to sign up directly on the iPad itself? Thanks...

Yes, that's exactly what I did.
