Yes, sequential read/write is faster. Real world use, you're not going to notice any difference. Random read/write is more important for OS and they're more or less the same there.

Tasks like copying to/from a PC to the 32GB models isn't going to be any faster. You're going to be limited by USB 2.0.

Thanks.

I went ahead and got the 128GB. I can't tell if I notice a difference just using the device, but it is a lot less stressful looking @ free space hovering @ 118ish GB vs 20ish GB. :D

It was only $50 more due to price matching too. :D

You'll notice it a bit every time when you're installing or updating apps. If you're into photography and video editing, big export files could be a bit faster. It's only a bit because even the 32 GB patches are plenty fast when compared to the Android competition. Just use it as you normally would and have fun with it :)

I absolutely do. App installs from downloading to installing to the option for open becoming available happen quicker on the 128 vs the 32.

I have a 9.7 iPad Pro 256GB, 9.7 iPad Pro 128GB (mom's) and 2017 iPad 32GB (dad's). Quite honestly, app install times are practically the same across all three.

I was specifically comparing a Pro 9.7" 32GB to a Pro 9.7" 128GB.

Side by side the 128GB completed, installed, and gave me access to the open button faster than the 32GB. This is on 5Ghz AC with 90Mbps down and very low latency. I'm not sure what to tell you. :(

On a hunch, I just checked a few quick performance tests and they're all higher than the 32GB Pro's...even some that don't relate to storage.

The iPad's basically a computer and sometimes a computer can be a cherry. I've had CPU's that clock way past what they should and some that just blow chunks. I've had 2 of the same phone models and noticed differences in audio quality via the headphone jack. My best guess after using the device for a few day's is that it's a cherry. Best display, best speakers, best battery life, lowest operating temp in the hand, etc. It's by far the best Pro 9.7" out of the four I've had in the past 2 weeks.
