ipad pro 9.7 apple screen lock

This is the second time with different results....The other day I pressed the home button and my ipad restarted.

Just now I pressed it and got the black screen with apple logo, ipad couldnt turn off when I tried. I managed to restart the ipad from the apple screen and luckily my ipad was rebooted
