ipad pro 9.7 in sprint cellular model

Hi all. I have a question. just purchased a brand new ipad pro 9.7in cellular + wifi model. All is great. everything intact. I had a questiosn with the cellular portion of the tablet. I believe it is a sprint original model I did some research and discoverred that these models come with an integrated apple sim which allows the user to activate with other carriers as well. The ipad i believe has a balance on it through sprint. Will sprint eventually block the ipad and make it unusable even with other carriers? I suppose i could still use it on wifi in that case. thanks any help with be greatly appreciated.
