Hello.

I am looking for an iPad industry standard case that can be used in multiple environments and locations if they exsist. I work in the film industry and use my iPad to control lights over a wifi network. I could be in a film studio, a random urban location such as a house/restaurant or even outside in a field/forest etc. There will be lots of movement during the day, putting the iPad down at a drop of a hat to adjust something else then coming back to it. Think building site almost.

Features that would be great are:
- Good all round impact protection.
- Screen flap to cover when not using or possibly an in built screen protector although maybe not necessary.
- A hand strap to hold it fro the back - Maybe the hand strap could be an additional accessory?
- Optional shoulder strap.

Doesn't need to be water resistant as if I was working outside in wet conditions I would use a vacuumed dry pack.

Top case on the list atm is this although most of the cases in this area seem to be a bit gimmicky and maybe not intended for actual industry field use plus no hand strap - https://www.zugucase.com/2018-2017-new-ipad-9-7-inch-air-1-prodigy-x/

Based in UK.

Cheers

I have the Zugu case you reference for my 10.5 iPP and while it is more rugged than most, it really doesn't meet your requirements. Closest thing I do have is the Otterbox Defender though it does not have the hand strap or shoulder strap.

LifeProof Nuud Series - use mine on an iPad mini for its GPS in off road vehicle Shock Proof: Withstands drops from 6.6'/2 m - meets or exceeds MIL STD 810F-5. A piece of Encased tempered glass but i prefer the Tech Armor Ballistic glass,

good luck

Cheers Sparksd thats good to know and yep the Ottterbox is on the list as well although it doesn't have a screen flap cover to protect it when placed down between uses.

I had a look at the lifeproof case which looks interesting thanks, as well as the cases by 'The Joy Factory' - https://www.thejoyfactory.com/collections/enclosures/ipad-pro-9-7 - although they are quite expensive but seem really good quaility.

Otherwise this case may even do which is super cheap but could just be fine without any weather proof features - https://www.amazon.co.uk/DEWALT-DG5145-Contractors-iPad-Holder/dp/B00QNTVL1E

If you can't find a case with a hand strap, there are add-on accessories. Here is one -

Kind of wonky but it works. And Amazon has others you can check out. The Defender does have a hard front cover that can be snapped onto the backside when not in use.

What did you end up testing out?
Do you use a stylus with any of those?
Same industry, so looking at a similar cases, however I like to use a stylus. Have the Griffen survivor case, but can't draw or diagram anything, camera positions etc.
So interested to see if anything out there that is protective but can use a stylus.
