Can you achieve the same effect through the Night Ahift slider?

Night Shift is only going to take away blue and get warmer. True Tone should be more intelligent and adjust the display in either direction based on the light in your environment.

Reading reports of less fingerprints makes me happy.

I was finally able to smudge it by putting on hand lotion, and that finally did produce some smudging, but with normal fingers it doesn't leave any fingerprints that I can tell.

It actually does have a toggle to turn it on or off.

Speaking of toggles... as I was setting up my Pro, I swiped up Control Center to test the camera flash as a flashlight. THERE ISN'T A FLASHLIGHT TOGGLE/OPTION!

With the True Tone, I turned it off for a minute, and the screen went to what looked like a very blue color. I thought, "this can't be what I was looking at on the old iPad", but as my eyes adjusted, I realized that it probably was what I had been used to. Then I turned it back on, and it turned what seemed like a very yellow tint, but again after a minute or so it seems normal.

Stopped into 5th ave stir today to check them out. Was curious to see if they had the book alone affect that affected so many airs and air 2s including mine. My 12.9 IPP doesn't suffer from this, but the few display models they had still had the book spine to varying degrees.

Disappointing but at least it stopped me from making an impulse buy!

opinions on the anti-reflective coating wearing off after time? Would using a screen protector negate the benefits of the anti-reflective coating? I've always used screen protectors on my iPhones and iPads and was wondering if I should just remove the screen protector I just installed on my iPad pro.

Up to you. Never used a screen protector in my life. My phone is scratchfree after years, my ipad 4 is scratch free.
Screens nowadays are already very though and scratchresistant. And it is a manner of proper use and paying attention.

If there is something they really can't handle it is falling on the ground because of the many layers/attached internal mechanics. But nothing besides a good case might protect it from that.
