I don't think we'll see thinner bezels on the iPad Pro until they can move both the front camera and the Face ID sensor under the display. That change will result in dramatically thinner bezels all the way around.

Gee…that’s an exciting update. 😴
What next…rounded corners? Or is it time to go back to square?

Curious whether it means bigger displays or smaller iPads? My vote is for smaller iPads.

I kinda just figured they would skip the M5 and go straight to the M6 next year, lol. I was wanting to upgrade to that next year from my M1 12.9” and get the smaller 11”. I’d be more willing to get the M5 if it comes with 16GB memory standard as I don’t want to spend a lot on storage I don’t need. With the new multitasking I wouldn’t want anything less, especially since Apple seems to keep making the iPad closer to a Mac every year.

Kinda makes me want to hold out to see what that rumored giant foldable iPad/Mac thing is about in 2027. I’m just kinda over the 12.9” size right now. But if it folds smaller as an iPad and I can get the best of a MacBook Air combined with an iPad Pro, that would be really desirable for travel. I just hope they have a good solution for the keyboard! Because that makes or breaks such a device IMO.

An obvious reason why the iPad will probably never have a notch is because there’s no right orientation. The iPhone is clearly mainly portrait.
While I agree, this is Apple we are talking about, they can easily dictate how you are supposed to hold your iPad 😂

I have an old iPad Pro 11 and use it very rarely, but if it gets a notch I'm absolutely not getting a new one.
