With the current climate, working from home is looking more imminent for everyone around the world. Right now where I work they are checking what devices we have to start the process of setting us up to work from home.

I currently own an early 2011 Macbook Pro and a 2018 11inch iPad Pro. I know sidecar exists but my mac is too old to use this.

Is there a way to use my iPad pro as a second screen for my Macbook pro? (any cables/apps)

I know what you mean, I really wish I could use my Galaxy S8 or my Ipad Pro as a actual monitor for my dslr camera without the Wireless laggy external app. like an HDMI In port on all laptops

Duet app might work for you, but it can be janky at times. I used to use it with my 2014 IPP and iPad Air 2. My 2018 MBP and 10.5 IPP work great with sidecar, same for my new 2020 12.9 IPP. Sidecar is much better than Duet Display, but if your gear won’t support it, Duet is worth a try.

Is there a wireless method to connect iPad Pro as external screen?

First, I firmly accept that the eventual fate of iPad ought to be an independent PC that can change from a tablet into an undeniable workstation relying upon what you have to chip away at.

Duet Air can be set up as wireless, but cost $$$.

Duet Display works, however my company uses MS Remote Desktop. There is no current way to use the iPad Pro as a secondary screen. I’ve tried everything. if someone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. i am curently working off of a PC.

Jump Desktop for Mac (RDP & VNC client) can use all displays (including iPads via sidecar/duet) for your RDP session, I use it sometimes as a dual head setup to my development PC in the office.

Jump Desktop is awesome, I own it on both Mac and iOS. It's also part of Setapp.
