So it seems there is a bug in the current iOS version that is glaringly obvious...I can't hide the on-screen keyboard while using a bluetooth keyboard. Tapping in a text field brings up the keyboard, and dismissing it gets rid of the focus, so in essence there is no way to type with a BT keyboard without hiding the on screen keyboard.

I guess they really want you to buy the keyboard cover? Or does that have the same behavior? It sucks that half my screen has to be taken up by a keyboard when I have a physical keyboard in front of me...

Some keyboards have a button to dismiss/bringup the onscreen keyboard.

Might be an option to change default action in settings?

So the keyboard button actually does work, but it seems the default is to bring up the keyboard on every field, but it saves the setting per app. Or at least that seems like how it works.
