iPad Pro M1 12.9" on 16.1

Recently I haven't been able to 'get' any handoff apps from either my Macs or iPhones (everything running latest versions).

But, I can send apps via handoff to both Macs and iPhones.

I've tried to turn Handoff off/on on the iPad, turn off/on Wi-Fi etc., reboot and nothing seems to fix.

Having the exact same issue previous to iPadOS 16 whenever I had an app open on my iPhone or Mac the icon would appear in the dock on my iPad however it no longer appears…

I have noticed however that when you toggle show recent apps in the dock on in settings handoff miraculously works but as soon as it’s turned on again it no longer works.

Holy *** this is it! I toggled "Show Suggested and Recent Apps in Dock" from OFF to On, and now the iPad can receive Handoff.

I can actually turn it back Off, and Handoff still works. TBD if it stops working again eventually, but this is obviously a root cause.

Yeah it’s weird why this happens, but for some reason hand off seems to be linked to that setting for some reason. It’s very odd and must be a bug within iPadOS

what is very strange also is for some reason on my iPad, for some reason when I toggle it on it throws all my apps all over the place some out of the dock back on Home Screen some from Home Screen into the dock etc… definitely a bug though but a fix nonetheless, just wonder how long the fix lasts before it breaks again
