iPad Ipad pro case

Hey all I have an ipad pro 2017.
My third party smart cover will awaken device when I open it but won't lock device.

Time for a new case or an ipad issue?!

You definitely have the lock/unlock setting turned on under display & brightness in settings? Which 3rd party cover are you using? I'd put my money on the cover being the problem. Could try another cover or take your cover to an apple store and try it on a demo unit (or a friend's iPad).

Magnets don't wear out unless they fell right out of the case. Must be a software glitch or something. Either that or the magnets are not very strong, and over time the case is slightly out of alignment from use and that is triggering the issue. Third party cases aren't known for having the best magnetic locking abilities. They can be quite inconsistent if you got one from a cruddy brand.
