My iPad Pro which was working fine earlier in the week will not charge, all I get is a screen with a battery symbol with a red line showing the battery is flat. Ive plugged in into a charger for several hours and it doesnt show that the iPad is charging - looking at Apple communities others have had the same problem suspected following an iPad update but no resolution. all Apple suggest is sending it in for repair but as its two months out of warranty that will cost half of the initial purchase price.

Can anyone help?

Yes, that's pretty frustrating. Have you tried swapping out the cables? Are you using Apple cables and an Apple charger?

Giving it much more time to charge solves the problem most of the time.

I’ve got the same problem. Which iPad Pro model do you have?

On my 2018 12.9”, I can only get any charge into it by using a 60W Ravpower battery. It charges enough to boot and then sticks at 1%.

The original charger and the one for my MacBook don’t work at all, even if left on overnight.

I have a 1st gen Ipad Pro 11 (A2013) with this same issue, only my red sliver battery icon only comes on for a couple seconds, then black screen, then battery icon, continuous loop of this. Can't get enough juice into it to even try and reset it. Had just updated it several days before. The one day I go to use it, starts at 100%. I read a book on it for ~20-30 minutes while waiting for an appointment. Isn't used the rest of the day. Check that night and the battery is at 18%. Turned it off. Went to try and start next day and this is how it was from then on out. Looks like apple wants $99 to replace the battery, or $499 to do anything else. Those options sound a bit wonky to me. Has anyone tried any of these other electronics repair services?
