My daughter is graduating from grad school. My wife and I are getting her an Ipad Pro.

Are there any good price deals happening with the Pro? Also, trying to decide on 32 or 128GB version. Recommendations?

I haven't seen any on the iPad Pro 9.7 yet. There have been plenty on the 12.9" from Staples, Target, BB, B&H, MacMall etc... although I have looked recently as I'm not in the market for one and instead will wait on the 9.7 to get discounted.

I am speaking for my own experience but I always found best deal in Amazon. For the storage, it depends because you could buy the 32GB version and use as well the iCloud $.99 cents monthly fee for 50GB. Which will be use as an enhanced storage. Don't know if for your daughter storage is critical.

Open box deal at BB. Got one with wifi and cell for $249.00 off retail. I got 128G but you can go smaller and then get one of the 128 flash drives made for the Lightning plug.

I wouldn't personally buy off Amazon as those are all market place sellers. Amazon itself does not sell Apple products. It's better to buy directly from Apple or one of the major retailers like Best Buy, Staples, Target etc.

You are still protected by Amazon's policies. My Ipad Air 2 came through them and everything went smoothly and yes, I got a better deal there than I would have at other places.

Teacher or Student Apple.com/edu it's 20% off the iPad Pro $599 - 20% unless Apple ended its student and faculty discounts. That makes it $480 for an iPad Pro 9.7 Plus 2 years of Apple Care $99 and Apple Pencil buy it all together at the same time. That's $797 - 20% =$698 ish depending on taxes. And it's a school related expense on your taxes.

$20 not 20%. I used that discount to get my iPad Pro as well from them. Amazon does in fact have the best deals I've seen around...especially on the 128GB iPad Pro 12.9. 9.7 discounts are starting to roll out on there as well. As others have mentioned be diligent when searching if you purchase from them. I called myself saving some change by purchasing on there. I received an imported iPad. They essentially work the same but knowing my iPad wasn't specially designed for my country/market made me uneasy. Ended up returning and keeping my apple bought iPad Pro

If you are looking towards the Cellular version, Verizon is offering $200 off.

A lot of business don't advertise, but do offer Corporate discounts as well. Not huge, but money saved is money found.

Exactly. I was just browsing in Best Buy today and overheard one of the managers reminding a rep that they needed to get rid of the open boxed items and we're offering 30 percent off open box prices.

Brought home a 32gb 9.7 pro for 409. Unbelievable deal.

My BB isn't doing this unfortunately :( Selling for regular unboxed price

It's the first time I've ever gotten one of these types of deals. I've heard of others getting super discounts on open boxes but when I've tried, management was always very strict on not giving Apple products any extra discounts.

It's why I jumped on it immediately. Got a silver one. Would have preferred space gray but for that price, I'll gladly take silver.

Always check the AppleInsider price lists for Apple products. Remember that you pay state sales taxes at Apple stores, Apple online, Amazon, and Best Buy. Adorama sometimes has great deals on products paired with AppleCare.

I bought my iPP on Amazon and found a few prime dealers out of state to avoid sales tax.

I got $90 plus tax off mine at a Bestbuy store in Canada. It was open box. With the savings I was able to pay for the Applecare. Pretty happy about that.
