I've been made curious by the iPad floating on Magic Keyboard about the possibility of getting a stand for mine and using it with a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, almost as a desktop. I was wondering if anyone is currently doing this with their Pros and if so, what do you think and what stand do you have? Pictures would be appreciated. I have the 12.9", which is a nice size but using it this way might make it seem too small, although it is technically slightly larger in area squared than the 13" MBA and MBP which plenty of people use as their main computer.

I did this before the MK was released - it worked pretty well, also docked it to a monitor. Used the Lamicall stand from Amazon.

I would recommend this stand. It is nice and sleek.

Before the MK, I always used mine in this fashion, as it allowed itself to be that portable portable machine I could move from room to room. All the while the setup could change based on the room.

I would use two different stands.

This small collapsible stand that's great for taking anywhere with you.

What's called an elevation stand, for when drawing on the iPad. It's basically like the stand you would use with a Wacom. It's made of metal and sturdy.

I also have a third stand that is collapsible, but not so portable. It makes a great option though if you need to bash in the skull of a zombie, as it's over kill in the sturdiness department.
