PDFs and magazines? Sure. But for long hours of. Reading books I wouldn't use anything but a Kindle. In my experience, so much easier on the eyes and doesn't keep me awake at night the way a tablet does.

I don't think you can do that in iBooks.

I would normally recommend GoodReader for reading PDFs, but it hasn't been updated to use the Pro capabilities yet, so PDFs look fuzzy due to screen scaling. If they update it, it will go back to the top of my app list as I read a lot of PDFs.

If you want to have two separate PDFs side by side in landscape, then you can use split screen multitasking for apps that support it, for example PDF Expert in one pane and iBooks in the other.

Also waiting on GoodReader to update for the iPP. They also need to add the multi-tasking support. Other than that it is my favourite reader (particularly as it can crop and remember the settings by document).

Got the IPP yesterday for myself, have not had the chance to open yet. Still trying to see if a $800+ device is worth just for the purpose of reading (although I do read a lot of journal paper/ PDF books). From a money saving prospective it would technically save money by not having to buy physical books (they average $100 each), and I have quite a few of them. But then again I can always just read them on my desktop. Decisions...decisions.....

It is, without doubt, excellent for reading A4 / US Legal size documents in portrait mode. Nothing else comes close.

I love reading comics and I've just purchased an iPad Pro. After a couple of hours with the device, I'm already sure about one thing: with such a big and sharp screen, this iPad provides the best reading experience ever! Here's a video of me testing it. Cheers

I was wondering the same thing; can't figure out how to get iBooks on my IPP to display PDF's in landscape mode:confused:
Google Play Books will display 2 pages side-by-side of a PDF in landscape mode.
An unorthodox app selection for an iPad Pro, but it works ;)
