Command+H will do it for you. There are quite a few handy Command combinations (for example, Command+Tab to switch between open programs).

Hold down the Command Button when you're on the home screen to see a list of global shortcuts (some apps implement their own in addition to the system ones which you can see by holding Command down when in an app)

Obviously you're question has been answered. But just as an aside, you should have a Google for iPad keyboard shortcuts. There's an awful lot you can do with them.

Even many of the macOS keyboard shortcuts work just as you'd expect. I use them all the time for selecting, editing, cutting and copying text without having to touch the screen.
