Folks, maybe you have a hint or solution. IOS 12 completely messed up the keyboard of my iPad Pro. I cannot type normally. Things are all over the place and keyboard is full of additional characters. Cannot understand what happened. Any idea if it is possible to have a normal keyboard back?

They switched the bottom left two buttons back to how they used to be. Is that the issue?

Nope, I do not know wht happened. The keybord on iPad is totally different to iPhone now. Impossible to use.

Like how to you type “?”. I press the button with “?” And I get “.” Instead.

I do not understand why now there are both black and grey letters, signs, numbers on keys. No such thing on iPhone and it was not the case on iPad.

I believe that you are meant to either long press or lightly slide down on the dual function keys to get the second character.

Go to your keyboard settings and see if you have key flicks turned on. If you do, turn them off. Or on the other hand google how flicks work and see if you might prefer the keyboard that way. Not sure if that’s the problem but it looks like you might have them turned on right now.

Yes, this was an issue! Thanks!!! Problem solved. I was not able to use an update because of it. Amazing
