hello,
I cant charge my IPad Pro 10,5 with lightning because probably its problem with charging port and it wont charge...
IPad is out of warranty...
I was looking for solution and i found sth called logi base that can charge IPad usiany smartconnector
https://www.apple.com/us_smb_83039/...rging-stand-with-smart-connector-for-ipad-pro

Reviews of this thing are very different and alot of ppl say it doesnt work especially after ios update

Maybe someone have logi base and can confirm it it works or no??

Logi base still works. Plug your iPad onto it. Then unplug and replug the lightening cable with the iPad attached to the base.

Does anyone know - are there any alternatives for Logi Base Stand ? Logi base has very bad opinions both on Apple website and amazon, a lot of ppl say it either doesnt work or stop working after a few months of use
Do you guys have any experience with this logitech product ?

Yes as I stated above. The base still works. The complaints happen mostly out of people not understanding that iOS updates.

When the Base doesn’t acknowledge your iPad connected to it which generally happens when iOS is updated. Simply unplug the lightening cable while the iPad is connected to the Base and then plug it back it. Your iPad will acknowledge it until the next update.

What’s the cost of repair verse the cost of the Logi Base Stand? If even close to the same I’d go for the repair. I heard the Logi Base charges very slow through the smart connector. I’d personally prefer not having to carry a base around for potential charging needs. At $99 dollars for the base the repair can’t be much more?

they said charging port is connected with motherboard and they cant replace Just it because its not detachable. Only way to fix it is to replace entire motherboard - repair cost is 350$..

That's why im asking about logi base i cant afford repair...

my english is bad i Hope u understand ;)

I have the base and it doesn’t matter what watt charger you plug in to it the stand will only charge your iPad at 5 volts. Mine worked for three months but now when I try and dock the iPad it continually plays the power connection chime over and over until you disconnect the iPad. I tried unplugging and replugging in the stand as well as trying to redock and the same thing happened. Constant chimes over and over again. I even tried cleaning off the dock connector I don’t know what happened to it. Just like everyone’s post it randomly stopped working.
