Guys.. I preordered the CoverBuddy 2.0 for the 12.9 2020 model but the packaging says Smart Keyboard so I contacted them and they‘re claiming they sent me two CoverBuddys accidentally (Even though I cancelled it the first order before it shipped after finding out it wasn’t compatible with the Magic Keyboard). But after testing it it actually works fine, so I’m not sure if they’re reusing old packaging from the first version. Or if they sent me an older CoverBuddy, either way it closes fine even when holding it from the spine or with the keyboard facing upwards. Will post pictures once I apply my glass screen protector.

sorry if I missed this, but for those who have the cover buddy, does the pass through charging of the magic keyboard charge the iPad w the coverbuddy on? A review on amazon says otherwise so was a bit concerned. Thanks!

well, went through the thread and I think another user said that both the keyboard USB c connection did indeed charge the iPad and allow for keyboard/trackpad functionality. Phewwww As I have one on order.

Yes it does...or at least it’s supposed to. All of a sudden, yesterday, mine stopped unless I press on the iPad in the location of the Smart Connecter.
Waiting on Pitaka to see if they can do better.

Yeah loving it, won’t be able to go to typing on any other keyboard now. I use it pretty much all day and trackpad is a joy to use. I rarely take it off the keyboard so for me it’s pretty much my laptop more than a tablet.
I bought a pencil holder that I leave on the iPad so it’s not on top of the iPad but the coverbuddy could help as I don’t trust just leaving it on the top when moving/bag etc

The cover buddy is worth about $10 tops. It’s a very thin and cheap cover. If you purchase from their site expect to wait 2 weeks at least.

@soundwarp - Which courier did they ship out using? I know they use a strange variety of couriers, so that’s probably not helping.

I just wanted to add my experience. I just got my iPad Pro 11 2020 today and had ordered a coverbuddy last week from amazon (black model) and the coverbuddy/ipad/keyboard works perfectly. Charges, no issues w/ pass through or keyboard/trackpad. Also, the cover buddy closes perfectly even when holding it by the spine. In case anybody wants to order the 11’’ from Amazon, mine fits perfectly if that helps.
Ok, so I just installed a screen protector, and now when holding by the spine w/ the coverbuddy, there is a tendency of the magic keyboard to open when holding by the spine. I still love the protection of the coverbuddy, but it does seem like the compatibility of the stated compatibility w/ the magic keyboard takes into account tight tolerances.

@SimonMScott Small tip that may help. I found that once in the UK (via 4PX) the really long tracking number you should see on 4PX’s site actually worked when putting it in Yodel’s tracker. I guess they could use any local delivery agent but there’s a change you’ll also get it via Yodel so use that code and see if you get better tracking location.
Hope it’s a better fit when it arrives 🙂

Royal Mail seems to like the tracking number and says it’s on the 48hr Delivery with them. Problem is, the 4PX tracking says it arrived at Heathrow 2 days ago, but neither the 4PX tracking OR the Royal Mail tracking has updated since then?
In fact, the Royal Mail tracking only really says that it’s awaiting information from the carrier, which isn’t very helpful!
What happened with yours once it arrived at Heathrow?
