I just received an iPad pro cellular model that I bought through Amazon, but it did not come with a sim. Can I purchase one from the Apple Store?

Did you buy it new or used? I'm pretty sure all new models come with an Apple Sim. I don't think you can buy a sim from apple. You have to go to the carrier that you want to use your iPad with.

If it was brand new and it didn't come with a SIM, you should go back to where you bought it and complain.

Seems odd. Cellular iPads sold in the US come with an Apple SIM pre-installed. Not sure about Canada. If yours didn't come with one (and you're in the US), I'd contact Amazon. The source of the iPad may be questionable.

However, that said, an Apple Store should just give you a new Apple SIM. Or you can get one directly from the carrier of your choice.

Could be wrong, but I don't think Apple stocks Apple Sims in store. Probably would need to call Apple Support. But I think the biggest concern is why doesn't it have a sim to begin with, being that it is new.

Amazon does't sell iPads directly, only through their marketplace sellers. More than likely the seller removed the SIM before they shipped it to you. The Apple store does sell Apple SIM's for $4.99 each, I purchased two several months ago.

I went to the Apple Store last night, and unfortunately their systems had just crashed: they couldn't sell anything. They told me that the Apple sims were free, but they couldn't give me one until their inventory system came back up because it has to be run through that system even though there is no cost. They did, however, give me an AT&T sim for free (for some reason, this didn't have to be accounted for).

Anyway, the iPad Pro looked to be sealed in all of the typical Apple packaging. Do Amazon sellers open them, take out the sim and reseal? Or, does Apple ship models to such sellers without a sim? Just curious.

Resellers are picking up the Pro from releases in other countries and selling them in the US, those are the ones that may be sim free. My sealed pro from ebay reseller had no sim as well.

It could be a knock off. Does the back of the ipad pro say Mapple on it.

Im only kidding. geeze..

In Canada you buy your sim for $10 from the carrier of your choice. Most iPad/iPhone users will have a share data plan. Each device I add shares the 7TB I pay for for my iPhone.
