Last night I spent some time drawing with the Apple Pencil. I noticed that in certain areas of the screen it felt bumpy. So when drawing a straight line I could see/feel the change of direction. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it because of the thin design of the iPad, the Pencil or something else? The screen seems fine... But it just not feels right when you suddenly feel the 'bump' when drawing...

I noticed this on mine... but I don't think it's actually bumpy. I was able to narrow mine down to "oily" spots on the screen from my fingers. Drawing through the oily deposits would feel different from the rest... making it feel "bumpy". Try cleaning your screen off and see if you still feel it.

If it really is bumpy and it bothers you, then you might try an exchange...

I am having this problem as well. I keep a microfiber cloth nearby and the screen clean all the time. I was still having this issue. The pencil nib is clean as well. What I did notice is that it was not always in the same spots and the sensation would increase or decrease as I applied more or less pressure.

One thing I have not tried was using the replacement nib to see if maybe the pencil tip has some rubber/residue on it.

Glad I am not the only one though. Let me know if you figure out what it is.
