I finally Caved. I got fingerprints all over it. Good to know that I have my trusty microfiber cloth around incase my OCD gets up again.

I’m gonna be taking notes with my Apple Pencil, so Fingerprints were bound to get on it. Also without Fingerprints, dragging the pencil across the screen had a lot of resistance. It’s much smoother now.

I baked A LOT of bread and desserts (now I need to join Weight Watchers, lol), read the iPad Pro User Manual in it’s entirety, and watched literally hundreds of iPad Pro unboxing videos. Oh, and I spent a lot of time hanging out on this forum commiserating with all the other owners-in-waiting.

Too late! I already ate it! Do you know how hard it is to make Space Grey icing? And the Apple logo! I suck at art. That’s why I didn’t get the Apple pencil.

My Apple Pencil came before the iPad and it was engraved but ordered the same time received the pencil today

My iPad Pro 11 128gb moved from preparing to ship to shipped and shows a delivery date of 08/21 which is sooner than the original 08/24 to 08/31 window. My order date was 07/23. The UPS site shows Thursday 08/20 so a day sooner than Apple. Even better

LOL... UPS just casually updated scheduled delivery from this Thursday to next Monday. For fellow members in Canada who placed order around July 15th and got shipping notice on August 5th, I think we will be on the same boat.

So mine usually updates overnight, and I’m hoping I wake up to a change, but I’m not sure. I’ve tried to make a habit of not checking it throughout the day (because I get pissed every time I do). <3

You should get a Voight-Kampf or something.

Mine has been in ZhengZou for almost 3 days now, and my delivery date moved from this Friday to next Monday. So, it's still earlier than Apple's estimation.

ETA: For those with AppleCare+, did it go into effect before you got the iPad? Seems weird considering I don't have it yet, but this is my first time getting AC.

So get this, they never scanned the package departing Louisville, arriving at Newark, and departing Newark. My iPad magically transported from Louisville to my local UPS and I’m getting it today!!!

Mine departed Zhengzhou and delivery is pushed to Monday as well.

I got my Apple care email a few days ago so I think it is standard for them to send you the info once it ships.

I think it starts the day the iPad gets sent. Makes no sense, it should start the day you get it. Seems petty on apple’s side to substract a few days of a warranty that expensive.

Because this is an unusual circumstance with the delays, I would contact Apple Support to ask for a start date adjustment. I don't know if they'll do that but I think they should!

Once mine left Korea, the arrival date was pushed back 2 days from Tuesday to Thursday, but once it got to Louisville, the delivery date reverted back to the original date of Tuesday, August 11th.

10 years ago I bought a Mac Pro that took ages to arrive, and they changed the start date at my request.
