Hi 🙂

Is there any information about which Touch ID sensor the iPad Pro will use? The old one of the new one found in the 6S?

Thanks!

I am remember reading somewhere that's it's last gen touch ID I could be wrong but I think it's the same as the iPhone 6

We won't know for 100% sure until reviews are out, but all evidence so far points to the same TouchID that was in the 6/6Plus.

So the NEW pro has some OLD hardware? I guess Apple just knows I'm going to buy it anyway. :-/

honestly i have never had an issue with the old touch id so no biggie...they have to ADD something for next years model anyway 🙂

I actually prefer the "old" touch sensor. It's so fast on my iP6S that I can't quickly tap the home button to look at the lock screen for notifications. It's almost too fast to beat.

Challenge accepted and completed. My reflexes destroyed that Touch ID 2.0 like nobody's business. 😉
