I'm on the fence about which one to purchase. I want something mobile, and the iPad Pro sticks out because it has the cellular capability. However, I'm weary of just iOS and not a full OS. I will also use for business so I will have some word processing and spreadsheets to do. Any opinions of owners of either/or?

iPad Pro vs MacBook

Just keep it simple; if iOS does not have the power you need, buy a MacBook. Maybe add a wireless adapter or use your iPhone for data.
I don't own either but I do own an iPad and an rMBP and I wouldn't fancy working on my iPad all the time so I'm recommending the MacBook.
