Best Buy has the iPad Pro on sale for $100 off and I can apply a college discount of another $100 dropping the 32GB to $400 new.

I have an Air, and I definitely feel the performance lacking. Is this worth dropping $400?
Also do you guys think it's worth going for the 128GB model? That would make it $550..

I did this exactly late last night and picked it up today I love it! The 2gb ram and processer is a huge upgrade from the air 1 :) I did the 128 gb but other then that it was worth it!

The jump from $400 -> $550 doesn't seem worth it to me.

Wish I had done 256GB. Will do so next upgrade so there is more storage for Lr mobile collections.

How do you get the extra $100 college discount? Do they send you a coupon when you sign up through the student link?

It's all based on storage needs
This pretty much. Personally, I've only got around 50GB free on my 256GB iPP. I've got a 16TB server at home so I could easily fill up the iPad if I wanted to. That's not the goal though. I got 256GB so I can store a good-sized collection of favorite comics and videos to keep me entertained for maybe a week or so offline (and a laptop+portable 4TB HDDs for longer trips) and so I don't have to keep micromanaging content on the iPad.

If you're fine accessing/streaming everything from the internet, then a 32GB iPP should be fine.

If all you plan to do use it for is steaming, social media, and a few games, 32gb is fine. If you are planning to use storage for music, movies, and taking 4k video, I highly recommend getting the 128gb.

Yes. Must be an .edu email.
I see this quoted a lot, but it's not the case. I didn't use a .edu email address when I signed up and got the discounts and there is no reference (that I could find) on Best Buy's site about the equirement to have an.edu address in Oder to receive the discounts.

I got mine for $600 and feel it was absolutely worth it. Really great tablet with fantastic performance.
