I am looking to purchase an iPad for
- quick note taking
- watching youtube on treadmill
- mark up photos and send it back to my mac
- reading books
I am thinking of either iPad pro 11" 128g or iPad Mini 64g. I will based them on retail price as price isn't the key factor here.

Note taking and editing photos will feel better on the iPad Pro 11. Your other tasks can be achieved perfectly well with any iPad.

I would personally go for the 11” with the use case listed.

I used to run on a treadmill occasionally, and found my 7th gen a minimum necessary size for watching video/listening to music because the size of the buttons used for changing tracks, adjusting volume, skipping ads in YouTube, etc. were big enough to manipulate on the run (pun intended). An 11" iPP would be even better. Not sure the experience would be as easy on the smaller screen of the Mini. Considering this with your other uses, I'd definitely go with the 11" iPP.

i looked at both of them at apple store. i think size i like ipad mini on hand but when i start scrolling around screen, the 60hz really kills me especially compared side by side and also when i am using my iphone pro daily. Thanks for the suggestions guys =)

Nothing better than testing devices for yourself in-person. It’s individual preference at the end of the day.

Hope you’ll love whichever device you choose OP 😊

for reading books I like the mini, easier to hold for long periods of time...web surfing I prefer the larger display, I find holding the 11" size annoying after an hour though so usually I stick with the laptop ...yeah this probably didnt help
