I apologize if this is a stupid question, or has already been discussed. I am trying to find out if the iPad can be used to store MS Powerpoint files files, to then be used to make presentations. I am a Mac user at home, but my work uses Windows. I make many presentations at conferences, that I create with Powerpoint, and would love to be able to use the iPad when I travel to such conferences, and not have to lug around the big, bulky, heavy Dell PC Laptop that my work gave me. Does anyone know if this is possible? Could I just store the files on the iPad, and then connect it for the presentation? Would I have to have Powerpoint loaded on the device to be able to show the presentation? Thanks!

Mail on the iPad supports PowerPoint presentations (.ppt and .pptx), although I don't know how compatible it is.

You could mail them to yourself, or there is talk of a shared folder, so maybe you could access that via a network.
