Hi, my iPad is restarting on its own as soon as I switch it on.
What to do ?

I cannot restore it directly, as I dont have a backup of it.
Any other way to take the backup, so I can restore it after that ?

Do you recall if you ever set up iCloud? You may have an iCloud backup of it, if you don't have a local backup on your computer. In all honesty if it won't boot up there's no way that I know of to backup the data already on it, and beyond a hard reset, I think the only way to fix the issue you're having would be to do the full wipe/restore.

Its not hard resetting too.
I held down power and home button, but the CONNECT TO ITUNES did not come up.
Whats next ?

If recovery mode doesn't work, try put it in DFU mode and see if it works through there. To do this:
  • Plugin your iPad via USB to a Mac or PC that has the latest version of iTunes installed
  • Hold the power button for 3 seconds on your iPad
  • Begin holding the Home button without releasing the Sleep/Power button for 10 seconds
  • Release the power button and continue holding the home button, until you get a popup from iTunes that your device is recognised as being in recovery mode.
If that doesn't work, is there an Apple Store local to you?

It shows this.

Well... I'm in the same boat as you, just different model boat. My ipad just shuts off on its own. For me to turn it back on I have to hold the power button + home button. This has happened twice now. I called, and they ran a diagnostic over the phone, and they are saying I need to call to do an express replacement.

Just curious - which model? 32GB or 128GB?
32GB
