My iPad is ruined, when I got the iPad I was grand fathered into the unlimited data plan... So now I'm wondering if I buy a new one, am I going to be forced to start a new data plan!? Or will they move my new iPad to my current 3G contract?

Just remove the sim card and put it in a new iPad. No need to start a new plan or any thing.
