iPad/Safari cursor key functionality

When in a text box on MR (such as writing/editing a post), if I use the up/down cursor keys on a physical keyboard connected to the iPad, instead of moving the cursor up or down one line in the text box, the whole page moves to the bottom of the website. This does not happen on other websites I tried.

Not on an Air 2, iOS 9.3.5, Logitech K 380.

Happened to me on both the iPad Air 2 & now on my iPad Pro 10.5, with multiple iOS versions. It makes me not want to use a Bluetooth keyboard with this web site, as I instinctively press the arrow keys all the time when composing a post and I need to reword something.
