Usually. Depends on stock of older models.

For example, there was never a deep discount on the iPad 8th gen and it frequently went out of stock way before the 9th gen announcement (likely due to study at home).

Also, deep discounts may not appear until sometime after the new model’s release. I remember opting for the 2021 Pros because for the specific config I want, the discount from original MSRP for the 2020 Pro was just $50-100.

I found this to be true also. The shortage of newer iPad models meant that some resellers did not feel they needed to lower their prices. One example was that I frequently saw the 2020 12.9 Pro for more money than the M1 2021. The 2020 being available straight away and the M1 having an 8 week wait.

I paid $287 for my iPad 8 when it came out. I could probably almost get that for it now.. (Excellent condition, BTW)

iPad 8 and 9’s here are being resold for $100 over retail, it’s just ridiculous. I lucked out and found one at Best Buy just before they all sold out

Which new ipads will be presented? Air 2022? What are the latest rumors?
Keynote should be again in march/april?

The Air 5th gen will likely come out in the spring to catch up with the Mini 6 processor wise and get center stage.

The Pros will likely come out in the fall alongside the new Macbook Airs

Where do you go to get the previous generation iPad? i.e. I'm interested in the 12.9" 2020 Pro.
