iPad screen recording without permission.

This is the second time it’s happened; my iPad has recorded the screen without permission.
I only knew the recording took place because of a pop-up telling me the recording was saved to photos.
Upon review, the red dot, top right, was there to indicate a recording was taking place.

I was only using safari, then switched to using photos. A recording captures approx. 2m30s of activity.
A normal screen recording captures the moment the recording was triggered… eg. prssing the record button from the pull down screen - this recording occurs mid safari navigation.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I hope you have reported it to Apple through the feedback app.

I think it’s easy to inadvertently open Control Center and tap a button while doing something in the upper right corner of Safari. Maybe remove Screen Recording from Control Center if it bothers you enough. Or do you think this is specific to iOS 15?
