All iPads IPAD Screenshot PNG Only? No JPG?

When I save a screenshot from my ipad, it saves it as png, is there anyway to save it as jpg instead?

There is no way to change the format of iOS screenshots.

I may be wrong, but I do not believe this is possible.

Some may point out that PNG is a better format than JPG - but I suppose that is not your question.

If the issue is for transferring photos elsewhere, then you will find multiple conversion tools. But again this is not an ideal solution.

Just did a check in ios6 and could not find such an option. Anyone with ios7 able to add to this ?

yeah, I can convert them but it just adds an extra step. having two kids, I don't have a lot of time so more steps always equals more work and worse.

It's fine. I can manage just hoping.

Curious as to why you would need JPG and not PNG…

Some websites will not allow uploads of png files. They will say incorrect extension file
