IPHONE 4 Setting off security alarms

Well I am really getting pissed off with my iphone 4 as it sets off the security alarms in stores. A few weeks ago it happened when I was shopping with my girlfriend and of course I got searched by the rentacops lol. It happened at three different stores the first time and I thought it might be a freak occurance. Well this past weekend it did the same thing. I set off the alarm at Macys and three other stores. I even tried turning it off and no avail. I also noticed that I have to reset my sim lock after. This doesn't happen everytime but usually after the phone sets off the second alarms system. I called apple and they want me to bring it to a store (1:45 min drive) but that is almost a day of my time. If you mail it in you are stuck with paying for shipping but for a 69.00 fee they will upgrade your coverage lol. Why should the customer have to pay anyting for a phone that is defective? I did point out to the apple rep that this could be a huge problem for apple as what happens if I get tackled by a rent a cop due to their phone setting off alarms for no reason :). Anyway I did see that someone else is having the same issue and I just wanted to let everyone know that this might be a bigger issue as there seems to be more than just me with the issue.

I wouldn't let store security rent a cop search me. If someone is going to search they're just going to have to call the police.

Now if you're stealing something you may just want to try and work it out:D
