iPad iPad shared albums -> photos only available locally!?

Hi all,

I'm freaking out a little bit b/c of the following issue: On my iPad I have created a shared album, added more than 1k hand-picked photos and only half of them is showing up on other devices. Of course I waited... hours... days... nothing changed. I restarted the iPad, nothing. There's not much space left on it but why should that be an issue? It just doesn't seem to upload the pictures. Can I manually restart that process somehow? Or can I get those pics to my Mac by connecting it via a cable? I know I have access to the pictures on other devices but this is really about the actual selection of pictures - took me hours to pick them all...

ANY idea how to fix this?

Is your iPad on iPadOS 13.5? If not, try updating it.

Why are you creating a “shared” album to share pictures amongst your own devices?!

Just create a new album and add the pictures, it should automatically show up on all of your other devices.

It’s a folder for a few people but the sync doesn’t work - not on my iPhone or any other device. Half of the pics made it to the cloud, the rest is only visible on the iPad.

Is your iPad on iPadOS 13.5? If not, try updating it.

I thought I was but I’m not. Has there been a fix for that issue in that specific update? Will update in an instant, thanks!
