iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Well a case without an iPad is useless but an iPad without a case..... Seems like an easy decision to me.;)

To Birmingham: iam not sure. There wasn't a flight that showed up but it doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't one - a replacement flight could have taken it's place. Trust me it may just have taken a different method or city to fly too. Or perhaps the tracking isnt updating.

Would UPS customer service be able to tell anything different on the phone? Their automated line seems to have completely lost track of the package. It's just saying that it's on it's way to me.... which is the most vague tracking status I've ever gotten from UPS.
 
This thread is hilarious. Didn't read the whole 101 pages, of course, but it seems people are too preoccupied with getting their iPads today.

No I have seen other Charlotte scans like this. They have another sortig facility seperate from the airport, so it shows up as goin to Charlotte, while it really is just going to another part of town for final sorting :D
 
My iPad has been in Kentucky since early AM on the 31st, and got scanned 5 times yesterday, yet still sits. Now should I be worried? I mean its like almost 8am where I live and it hasn't even had a departure scan much less an arrival or out for delivery scan :(

Exactly! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of this, maybe because I do that quite a bit for various gizmos and gadgets.

Edit: I just went to the Best Buy site and didn't see iPad anywhere on it! Blind or it ain't there?

It's an automated system based on your Apple's order that list the shipping address along with the phone number, Apple gives that info to UPS when they pay for the shipping.

I live in Green Bay, WI which is 2 hours north of Milwaukee, and am kinda disappointed it sat in Louisville as long as it did, and then is now sitting in Milwaukee.

I'm still hopeful they get their act together and get it up here, but man... I kinda expected this thing to book it once it arrived in Louisville.

It is always vague. It says that once the package is shown as in transit and is in the US. It will not tell you anything more until it is out for delivery. Trust me don't worry ITS COMING!!

not really, what if you can get both? I don't have insurance for my ipad, the case is the only thing that ensures its safety.

Everyone can stop worrying if your iPad is showing at a location within a few hours of your home. It will get there today.

If it showed being in another state at this point, then I'd be worried. ;)
 
Well woke up to seeing that my package was at my main UPS distribution center in the Bronx. On the top portion it does not have the estimated delivery info, shouldn't it be there and say Scheduled Delivery: April 3 or whatever date the attempt delivery will happen? Does anyone have their scheduled delivery info showing?
