Back Up Plan Ready!!

Called Best Buy and I have one on complimentary hold (64GB) so if by 7pm the brown truck of doom doesn't show up, I still have time to go get my new toy! And I will get best buy points for it!

If that doesn't make the delivery truck show up, I don't know what will!

lol, EXACTLY (I kid you not) as I got dressed and ready to leave for the Apple Store, package was delivered (1:56pm), this is in (north) Torrance, CA. It's like they deliberately wanted to maximize my torture point (which was 2pm at the latest).

I'm actually kind of sad the wait is over. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the iPad, but waiting for it was so much fun. Now what? Anyone else feel me on this one?

Unbelievable ups just screwed me they have a total different shipping address from apple and ups cannot do anything! WTF apple

Just got mine at 5:05PM. The driver told me he delivered nearly 500 iPads today and still had another 50 to go.

I had a great time hanging out with everyone on this forum. It sure did help pass the time waiting for the brown guy. I hope everyone gets their package very quickly.

Still waiting in San Pedro! But I'm all the way down South by the water so I figure I'm at the end the route. As long as the dreaded "Delivery Exception" doesn't pop up....

Complimentary hold? How the hell'd you manage that? I'm a RZ Silver Member and was told they are unable to put holds on any of the iPads. If someone goes in and wants one, they have to sell. So much for plan B... I guess I'll keep my fait in UPS that I will have it soon... :p

I was shocked too...guess they just aren't selling out like they thought...I was prepared to give her a credit card number to hold it...but nope...told I would be by after work...figure I will call and cancel if needed or just go get it...beginning to think go get it is the option...

Mine showed up without any "out for delivery" update on the tracking. It's amazing!

The UPS driver told me he'd personally delivered more than 60 of them so far, and most people have been meeting him at the truck when he drove up.

Mine arrived via UPS... Then of course my other half wanted one so I went to Best Buy where they had 9 - 32GB and got a fresh shipment of 16GB...

Then went to the Apple store where I picked up the iPad case which they had PLENTY in stock and Plenty of unpicked up reserved iPads...
