Question on shipping with the iPad:
We were going to a different state this weekend so I had used my sister-in-law's address as the delivery address.
We found out tonight that a relative is very sick so we are going the opposite direction from where our initial trip was taking this.
I called Apple and tried to change the shipping address back to my home address and they said that they couldn't b/c the iPad has already shipped.
When I checked the order status on Apple's website, the "Pre-sign for this shipment" address had my home address.
Does this mean that the iPad will be shipped to my house instead of my in-laws?
That is odd, but the pre-sign should technically have the delivery address on it (maybe it copied the billing address?)
okay. If your package has the info on it when you track it at UPS.com (like the destination, and any sort of scans) then that is good. What you should do is call 1-800-PICK-UPS and say "Track a Package". After you give it the tracking number and it gives you the status, say Agent. It will say it is the latest status, and will ask if you really want an agent. Say "Yes."
Then press 2 for international shipments at the next menu. Then tell the agent that you want to track the status of your package. They SHOULD confirm the delivery ADDRESS with you, not just the city.
If they don't, ask them for the delivery address.
Don't ask to change the shipping address, because they can't. If they cannot complete delivery they will return it to Apple. However, someone said earlier that Apple would try to put a change of address on the shipment - which they should have the power to do (trust me, it comes with the WorldEase service).
Do that and then post here what happens
