iPad Simple wallpaper resize image tool???

Seen a few images on the web, I'd like to use as a wallpaper on my iPad. But i want to get the resolution right( 1024x1024). Anyone know any straightforward tools to use to do this?

it's in 16:9... had to crop the width to 1400 to make it 4:3

First of all, I'm assuming you meant 1024x768, right?

Second, there's an online image editor you can use.. it's fairly straightforward:

I thought it was 1024x768, but you have to make your wallpapers 1024x1024 because of the automatic flip when you rotate the ipad, or you'd end up with black bars or a stretched image.

You will have a hard time with a lot of images due to the pixel cropping that the iPad does when you change the orientation of it.

1) From Safari, Tap and hold on image
2) Press "Home Button" to exit Safari
3) Tap "Settings"
4) Tap "Brightness & Wallpaper"
5) Tap "Wallpaper"
6) Tap "Save Photos"
7) Tap on your saved photo
8) On the very top right hand corner Tap "Set Both"
