iPad skipping keys while I type

Since ipados 14 I noticed my keypad is very slow at getting what I type. Very often a word is misspelled because is missing letters that I typed and then autocorrect is jumping in and makes even a bigger mess.
It's like is missing the sensitivity. I checked among the settings and found only one , called Typing Style under accessibility >Voice Over
Not sure is the one I need....
Any idea is welcome

I'm noticing more mistakes with my iPhone 10r as well after this last update.

Noticed lots more mistakes since upgrading to 14 myself as well. Specifically with auto correct where selecting the option does actually use that word. When I make corrections (back space) the suggestion is broken and only shows the newly portion of the word appended to the other word. Also it doesn’t always correctly make the first word of a sentence in uppercase. (Especially when pressing return to go to a new line, see below)
i think things improved somewhat with 14.2, so I’m hopeful they are working on it.
